I have Easy CD DVD Burning software. It worked fine in my old computer with RCA jacks but my new laptop only has USB ports. Before I screw things up, is this USB hardware compatible with the low-end CD & DVD Burning software?

I had all sorts of problems with Creator 2009. Decided to go back to my old software. The instructions with the USB device says to only download the driver and not load the software if you are using Creator 2009, Ultimate or Special Edition. It says nothing about the entry level software package I now have loaded. Will the capture unit work with the low-end software I have? Running XP Pro with service pack 3.

What version of "Easy CD-DVD Burning" software do you have?
Since you are posting in the VHS2DVD forum, I assume you also have the VHS2DVD software. Those instruction about not loading the software refer to the fact that you cannot have have both Creator 2009 and VHS2DVD installed at the same time since they conflict. VHS2DVD is basically only the video part of Creator 2009 with a few additional features thrown in. I doubt very much that the capture device will work with your old software.
What problems were you having with Creator 2009? What is the make/model of your new laptop?

It may or it may not…

I have used it with XP Windows Movie Maker (won’t in Vista), as well as EMC 6, 7, 8 & 9. All of these worked! smile.gif

The only other I tried was Sony Vegas and it will not work in that one. So in the end you have to try and see…

I don’t really understand all the problems you find??? I have installed Creator 2009 and/or V2D on 5 different PCs, including a Dell Mini 10. The capture device works on all as well as the software…

You only have One post, so it appears you never tried to find any solution? sad.gif
