First off, let me try to explain a bit about me. I'm not a computer expert by any stretch of the imagination but I know a DVD drive from a RAM chip. I also know that it is a good idea to run virus checks on downloaded stuff before I open it and I can usually follow step by step instructions.
Now that's out of the way, here's the problem.
I bought myself a Sony Mavica CD300 digital camera on eBay and with it came the original Mavica software install disk. Included on this disk is Easy CD Creator 4. I tried to install this software but got a message that there was a known issue with this software and my version of Windows XP (Win XP Pro SP3). The problem now was that there was no way to move on to install other stuff until this software was installed so I installed it. After the installation a message appeared saying that some drivers for the new CD drive (the one in the Sony camera) had been disabled. In Layman's terms, "It's stuffed"
So, the big question now is this, can I get an upgrade to the version that i already have to allow it to work with Windows XP or do I have to buy a new version and uninstall the old one?
Cheers,
Steve
