I recently purchased Easy VHS to DVD. I installed the software but the Capture Video button was greyed out. I went to the Answers from Knowledgebase and did the following suggestions:
a. First of all the software didn't recognize the USB, so I downloaded the driver.
b. Second, I downloaded the patch for the Capture Video. When I click on that, it says no software is loaded. I've uninstalled the software, reinstalled the software and still get the same message.
c. Third, I upgraded my video drivers on my computer.
I have a HP Pavillon Laptop.
What do I need to do in able to get the Capture Video button so that I am able to transfer my vhs tapes to dvd?
Thank you,
Kaye

Your software is not properly installed and will not work until it is
Look at the Prep suggestions KB Page
Then do a Clean Install:
Vista
XP
Edited: Same advice but I see you are running a concurrent Thread in the Creator 2009 forum and you failed to mention you tried to install V2D over the top of 2009 against the instructions that came with V2D
2009 is the better of the 2 so there is no need to continue this thread!
