I have a desktop and a laptop. I have Roxio Creator 2009 installed on both. I recently purchased Roxio Easy VHS to DVD. I installed that on the desktop and it took away my Creator 2009. So, I decided to put Easy VHS to DVD on the laptop and just have Creator 2009 on the desktop. I deleted Easy VHS to DVD off the desktop and reloaded Creator 2009. However, now it won't open. I had a question about the Easy VHS to DVD on the laptop and was given the instructions for "Clean Install Instructions for Creator 2009 on Windows XP". Will I also need to do a clean install on my desktop and then reinstall Creator 2009?
Thank you for your help,
Kaye

I definitely would do a clean install of your desktop before reinstalling 2009. But, what won't open? The Home menu or any of the applications? If it's just the Home menu, have you installed Sp4 update?

When I try to open Creator 2009, I get the message "Roxio Creator has encountered a problem and needs to close." I did not receive that message until after I had installed Easy VHS to DVD. I'm wondering if something of that is still left that wasn't uninstalled all the way. I clicked on Add/Remove and removed Easy VHS to DVD that way. Do you I should do the clean install for Creator 2009 and then reinstall it or what should I do?
Thanks,
Kaye

Creator 2009 and VHS2DVD cannot both be installed as is mentioned in the install instructions.
You will most likely have to do the clean install. the Add/Remove does not do a good job of uninstalling.
