I am not familiar with GI files. When I create image the programs saves the file in GI instead of ISO. Can someone clue me in on this file.

What program from the Creator 2009 did you use to create the "gi' file? What do you want to do with this file?

".GI" is more a Sonic format of saving image files as oppose to ".ISO". However, it creates a basic file along with data files split into several files. When saving as a image you can click on the file format drop down to choose .ISO instead of .GI

Yes, I see it now as you have described. Thanks. I don't want to use .gi files as they might not work on other programs in the future.

That's very sensible. Steer clear of proprietary filetypes wherever you can.
