I recieved an email ad from Roxio for Creator 2009 on July 27, 2009 and made a purchase of the product.  I recieved the software on August 2, 2009 by US Mail.  On August 27, 2009 (exactly 30 days from purchase date) I recieved an email ad for Creator 2010!  I had only had Creator 2009 for (3) weeks.  When I tried to get a refund I found out that the (30) day refund time limit was up!  I think Roxio waited the (30) days to send the new ad so that I would not be able to get a refund and would have to make a new purchase in less than a one month period.  I sent one email immediatley to customer support and never got an answer.  I have been a loyal customer through all versions of Creator.  I think this is a poor way to do business and I plan to have my name removed from Roxio's mailing list if I do not get a reply to my support request.  If I had known there was a new version of Creator to be released in less than one month I would have never ordered Creator 2009.  I would like to know the actual release date of Creator 2010 to see if Roxio waited to send me the ad after my refund date expired?????

I suggest contacting Pre-sales and explaining the scenario to see what they can offer

I got my Creator 2010 email August 25th too = 24 days after my purchase of C2009. Unfortunately I do not check my mailbox every day, so I could not use the 30 days option, however I don't think Roxio deliberately postphoned any mail information. releasing a new version is a cumbersome process, and it may not be possible to coordinate everything. I have good experiences communicating with Roxio pre-sales team earlier. Considering the fair upgrade price for 2010 I will buy this version and look forward to using it.

Haven't got any e-mail yet. I bought my C2009 on July 30th, went on holiday and first time I started C2009 it tells me about C2010! I have e-mailed sales to ask if they will upgrade free.

When the new software is released, you have 60 days to return the software you just purchased. The normal return policy is 30 days (with anything purchased from Inside Sales / Roxio.com). Roxio doesn't take anything from third party vendors (ex: Best Buy, Walmart, etc...) Call sales at 1-877-MY-ROXIO.

That's very interesting!  I'm aware of the 30 day policy, but not this 60 day one.  Is there a link you have for that?

Thanks.

I just laughed at Roxio trying to get me to upgrade to the 2010. When I upgraded to EMC 10 I had paid for also a hard disc and never received the hard disc. I was able to download the newer version to EMC 10 but I had tried to email a couple of times and get in touch with sales about not getting the hard disc I paid for and never received a reply. I just figured they ripped me off and plan on never doing business with them again. A shame too as I like the EMC 10 and maybe would be interested in paying for an upgrade if they had not ripped me off. Not a good way to treat repeat customers up to that time.
