Have successfully burned CDs in the past on this iMac with Toast. All of a sudden not working. Determined not to be an Apple problem, as iTunes reads blank CDs and burns fine. Just upgraded to Toast 9.0.5.
Scenario is that I drag the AIFF files for the tracks into Toast, set it to do an audio CD, get as far as putting in the CD-R and naming it. When I activate the red button, the screen fades back as though it were starting to work, then immediately returns to the way it was, and the button is red again. Nothing took place. Have tried calling tech support, no call back as of yet. The files I am burning are not music; they are interviews I recorded with clients.
iMac G5 Intel, v. 10.4.11.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Try trashing the Toast plist and prefs files in your User>Library>Preferences folder and relaunching Toast.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Thanks, I'll try that and will let you know how it goes.
