I can't believe that of all of the hurdles in my first production , Menus is the one I can't seem to jump. I have the chapters page, but I seem to have two title pages. I think somewhere allong the line I tried to fix a menu glitch by starting a new project. My DVD seems to think there are two movies in this production. I freeze when I go into it and try to delete it as it says all files will be deleted from the project. When the movie starts there is a title page with the title button is white. When you click on that it goes to the second title page and the button is the colour I want. Click on that and it brings up the menu page. I am using Creator 2009 on a windows XP. How do I eliminate that first title page ? unsure.gif

First look at the 'tree' on the left. Try to describe it as I show in the screen shot. If you look at the tiny icons beside the text, you can see there is a difference between buttons and menu icons.

Technically there is nothing wrong with your Menu. What you did was place a TITLE (video) on the Main Menu. You then Edited Chapters and created a submenu for those chapters. Which is correct.

So which of these do you not want?

The page you see is correct. Just prior to it a copy of the same page shows up with Gunfighter Rendezvous in white type. Thats what I want to eliminate. So is CFDA National Championships the line I want to delete?

I'm confused. smile.gif Is this in preview only? Have you tried burning to DVD RW and actually viewing on a TV?

I think this is where you really want to be:
Attached Image: monthly_09_2009/post-39730-1252243749.jpg

I got there by not using Chapters!

Instead I made 4 separate Add Movies to make 4 separate Titles. Default reactions at this point is to play the one selected and to return to the Menu… Chapters will start with one you selected and play from there to the end of the entire movie.

I could get cute and start with a Play All button (unlinked button) then add the 4 titles and lastly link the Play All to the 4 movies and set it to, play all.

You can’t really adjust your project, so I think starting from scratch would be better… When your learning, start small. I use still pics to run through a sort of Proof of Concept project and keep notes. If it fails (often!) I have lost only a few minutes of time. Don’t paint yourself into a corner by trying to do a large project before you know how!!!

A lot of this is covered in the pinned posts here as well as in the Previous version formums.

Yes I have burned a copy. The page you see comes up with the movie title in white what would be the button. Click on that and it turns to the light yellow color and the music starts over. Click it again and it brings up the Menu. It seems to me that there should only be one transisition from the Title to the Menu. You think you are confused! blink.gif blink.gif blink.gif Thanks for trying to help out an Old Dog learning new tricks ! laugh.gif

Almost sounds like there is an issue between the player with the media. Did you burn this to DVD RW or DVDR? In either case, try a different brand if possible. There is nothing wrong with how you have the menu setup. Also try playing the same DVD in a different player and see if it does the same thing.

Originally, I thought you were trying to do what Jim demonstrated.
