Tivo Transfer BETA and Snow Leopard

I didn't see any threads related to Tivo Transfer and Snow Leopard so I thought I'd start one here. As many of you know, Snow Leopard has disabled the old Tivo Transfer. I've downloaded the new BETA version but haven't been able to get it to work. I did see it open once, but then it crashed before I could actually use it. Subsequent attempts to open it results in a crash every single time.
As it's been several days since Snow Leopard was released, will there (should there) be a new version of Tivo Transfer coming out? I've got shows backing up that I can't download and I'm just wondering if Roxio is continuing work on this. A check of the support pages gives no indication of potential problems that other users may be experiencing. (BTW, I'm running Toast Titanium 9).
Best,
David

Interesting, I very close to installing Snow Leopard and I see people reporting the Beta crashing. I can only get it to list one of my TiVo's using 10.5.6. Your workaround would be something I would use if I ran out of disk space in a pinch. Hopefully they will come up with something soon so we don't have to do that.

(By the way, how can I find the IP address of my Tivo? Sounds like a good idea that I'd like to try...)

Here are the things I did, after which it stopped crashing: I ran the Toast 10 update from 10.0 to 10.0.2. I deleted my media access key from preferences in Tivo Transfer beta, then re-started Tivo Transer beta and put it back in. I selected a different location for Tivo recordings, also in preferences in Tivo transfer beta, quit Tivo Tranfer beta, and then changed it back to the proper location.
I followed the same steps on my other Snow Leopard laptop with somewhat less success. The crashing stopped, and I can now watch existing shows in Tivo Transfer beta. But it seems to be in some kind of black hole - it sees my DVR enough to know what model it is, but it can't find any shows on the DVR, which means I cannot record any shows. And it lists the information about the Soprano episode (at the top of the window) that was recorded earlier today, as if I had that episode selected in the list. But there are no shows at all listed under the DVR, including the phantom Soprano episode that it (sort of) seems to know about. I tried restarting the DVR, but that didn't help.
I hope this helps. Nancy

I hope this gets cleared up soon because I record stuff to use in my classes and for nearly a week now I haven't been able to transfer anything. I tried other software (iTivo) but the video and audio were out of sync...

I had a chat with the Roxio help desk and asked about this problem. Was told "We do not support Snow Leopard" and clicked off. Nice to be a valued customer...
Based on this response, I do not expect a fix any time soon and wish there were a different option out there.

Well thats not right.... I'll see what I can do about finding whomever you talked to and slapping them on the wrist with a short ruler. Snow Leopard is supported but the final updaters are not ready quite yet...
I created a TiVo Transfer Beta forum, can you post any issues specific to this version in that forum, it'll allow us to track it a bit easier and respond to specific issues.
For the older posts reporting a crash on startup, this was typically caused by preferences from the previous version of TiVo Transfer being present and we've resolved that in beta2 posted earlier this week. Just use the same download link and you'll notice the filename is now beta2.

that's TRUED THE TECNICAL SUPPORT TELL ME THE SAME (******We are unable to continue to provide any support because of the software being used on the Snow Leopard operating system. We have stated previously that at this time Roxio software IS NOT supported on the Snow Leopard operating system.*******)
