Hi!

New user.
After a failed Plug and Burn (video lasted more than 1 hr and stopped capturing), I captured the entire VHS tape, 1Hr + 8 minutes, to my hard drive.
There are scenes I could cut to reduce the file size down to 4.7 prior to burn.
Where do I start? A manual (preferably in easy 1, 2, 3 steps....)  rolleyes.gif anywhere?
Thanks!

PG

Yes but you need to redirect your thinking to Video… File Size is meaningless!

Video is based on Time… A DVD will hold:

4.7Gb
HQ = 1:06
SP = 1:37
LP = 2:22
ELP = 3:04

8.5 Gb:
HQ = 2:00
SP = 2:57
LP = 4:19
ELP = 5:35

While V2D Capture requires: DV = 12.8 GB/Hr; DV HQ = 3.45 GB/Hr… But it is not relevant since all “files” have to be Rendered into a DVD Movie format or they are unusable in a player.

The program does all of this automatically when you click Burn.

But the basic steps are Capture – Edit – Create and they are right in front of you:

But it will require some effort on your part... Roxio is Easy but it will not hold your hand.

The Help files are great but assume some knowledge. Some other posted topics of use…

cdanteek's

USB Capture

Plug & Burn

Plus almost all of the How To's in the Creator 2009 Forum apply since V2D is based on Creator 2009.

Thanks, Jim!

You're not kidding: "Easy V2D" is not holding your hand. A few basic instructions would be nice.
The number of pages in the Getting Started Guide devoted to "Legal Information": 7
The number of pages on getting started, including Installation of the software and Support options: 12, nearly half of which are pictures of the hardware included in the package.
But, we'll give it a try.
Thanks again.
