I have recently edited a home movie and saved it as a DMSM  file. Normally I would  just " Add  new Movie" in My DVD9 and burn it but this time I want to  add to the DVD something which I recorded from my TV to a DVD.  I finalised  the  DVD and it is contained in a Video_TS file that has files ending in .VOB  .IFO and .BUP.

I now want to combine the two on one disc with a menu so that I can either play my home made film or the one I recorded but I am not sure how to do this ?

Thanks for any help / advice

Do the same thing.  OPen MyDVD 2009, First add your Home Video and that will create a button.  Second, Add Movie again and point to the DVD in the drive.  You should get a dialog box asking which movie and or chapters to add.  Select one or more.  When you click OK, Videowave will copy the VOB to a MPEG file on the hard before it actually adds the second button.

I thought that everything was working ok having done exactly as told . My home video encoded fine but the TS file stopped at 15%.

I then noted that one of the .VOB files related to a menu which my DVD recorder that I did the origional recording with  had placed on the disc so I tried again but this time when I got to the point where I am asked to add a new movie I selected all of the files with the exception of the one relating to the menu .Vob  I then selected the movie on the DVD but again it only went as far as 15%.

Any new thoughts would be gratefully received
Thanks

Just looked at the DVD I burned . My home film was ok but the second one had the menu on it which I mentioned and no sound . It stopped playing after a few minutes
