I am creating too many coasters burning Blu-Ray. I have created coasters trying to create both data discs and authored blu-ray projects. Any suggestions would help.
Software: Creator 2009 Ultimate
Burner: LG GBW-H20L Super Multi Blue BLU-Ray Disc Rewriter - 6x
Discs: Optical Quantum BV Series Silver Top 4x BD-R single layer 25GB
I have even slowed the burning rate down to 2x and still got a coaster. The burning process stops, the computer locks up and I need to do a hard reboot.
Is it possible that the discs are inferior. Can a lower quality disc cause this issue?
Thanks for your help.

Verbatim & Taiyo Yuden are know to be the top brands. They is the only thing I let in my house.
I would get one or 2 of those in RE until you get this settled.
However, even after saying that, I don’t think it will resolve everything… When a burn goes bad the drive issues an error which the program displays. The program and OS don’t crash.
Check for a firmware update for your Burner and while there, look for some diagnostic program you can run.
If by chance you are running in XP see if there are any updated drivers for XP as it does not support BD drives.
