The is my first post so hello to all, biggrin.gif
Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere but on a search I could not find a solution to my problem, or if its in the wrong section.
I have put together a DVD of my sisters wedding which has then main menu and 5 submenus from there all in DV format.
For each piece of film I've set the disc size in the lower bar as DVD 8.5GB and the Quality as high. As this is a wedding DVD I will need several burning off for family and friends so I want the finished project to be saved as an image file for future burning.
Anyway I have clicked on the burn button and clicked on 'Save Disc Image File'. It then lets me select the target media as +R DL, which is the right setting for the Verbatim 8.5 GB discs I bought for this project.
I then fire of burn and let it do its stuff.
When it has completed, and I have done this a few times the size of the image file is for a 4.7 GB DVD not the 8.5 as I wanted.
Am I thicker than a whale omelette and missing a simple setting or something?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

What is the total length of time of the video?  If it isn't more than 1 hour, then you don't need a DL disc.

And please don't put your response in bold letters.  It makes it very difficult to read.

Stick with the default font - it is more readable...

Need to know what length of your project is in TIME!!! (time remaining value is OK)

I suspect it will only go over if the time actually requires a DL disc to fit???

Give me those details and I will gladly try it on mine.

Sorry about the font size.. wink.gif  Thanks for your replies. I've rectified the problem, it was showing all 5 clips in the menu but not all the videos had transfered onto it so the total time for the full dvd would have fit onto a DVD 5, added them and its nicely up to the DL disc size. Once again thanks for your help.
