There is an option to continue playing another file, but what happens if someone actually wants to go back to the main menu? They can't! They might could if the remote control has a Menu button, but no other way.
For example if you added four videos to the main menu and used the option to continue to play the next video, the viewer selects Video 3. It will continue to play Video 4 then to video 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. Or you can set the option to stop at video 4 and go back to the menu.
The most logical solution is to create a MAIN MENU just like a commercial DVD. Create button to 'Play Movie' that plays all four videos in sequence and returns to the Main Menu.
Then add a second button (by copy/paste first button), name it 'Select Scenes' and Edit Chapters. This will create a sub-menu so the viewer can select a scene they wish to watch. This way the viewer has a choice. Watch all the videos in sequence or select a scene.

I have a Main Menu and a play movie button. I also edited chapters so people can select what scenes they want to watch. But my problem is when a play a scene it continues playing the other scenes instead of returning to the main menu.
I tried starting over to make sure I didn't do something wrong but it still doesn't work. I followed what you said.

That is the way the software is designed, and there is nothing you can do about it. You can't play a chapter and have it go back to the main menu.
Once the chapter is played, it will play all of the remaining chapters and will not return to the main menu until all are played.

As Bruce posted, control does not return to chapter menu after playing a scene (chapter).
If you want to have control go back to a menu you will have to redo your project and turn your scenes into titles on the main menu page.

You might want to read some of the "pinned" posts in the "How to and Usability" forums for this version as well as for EMC 10. Most of the tips and tricks can be applied to C2009.
