Okay, so I'm a beginner and it looks like plug and burn is discouraged, but it worked twice.  I just want to get some things copied....then I'll work on getting fancy.  This last time it looked good, captured for an hour, stopped and went for the burn; the burn completed, said 100%, ejected the DVD and got nothing.  What do I do now?  I checked my burner, Roxio Creator Basic v9, and I was able to burn a data CD today.  Appreciate the help.

If you were to quit using Plug & Burn you would be ahead now instead of having another coaster as well as having to redo the whole capture and burn process. This has nothing to do with getting fancy but being more efficient and reliable.
If you do the capture first you will at least know where the problem is instead of guessing if the problem is with capturing or with burning when you use Plug&Burn.

You have a good point.  I was just doing the plug n burn because that is what the manual recommends and I thought it was the easier.  Where do I go for step by step instructions on how to do it the other way?
Thanks
