Hey,
I am a newbie at this program. When I go to burn the songs on my computer it comes up with something about license? Never had this happen before on the other Roxio program  I had. Why won't it burn it? I know that I am ignorant right now about this program but just need some start up advice.  unsure.gif
Thanks for nay & all help!!!

Where did the music originate?  If it is from iTunes, read the EULA that you agreed to.

Roxio will not be able to burn directly because of License restrictions…

However you may be able to use the Software you downloaded the songs with to burn an Audio CD. Depends on the EULA Bruce mentioned.

If you can burn, then you can extract a song or songs from the Audio CD and make up a compilation or do whatever you want to do.

Some of the songs are ones that I got off the net. Some are ones that I have the CD & put it on my computer. I had Roxio CD Deluxe (can't find it) & it was old but I never had any trouble out of it..

Did you pay for the ones that you got off the net?  Where, on the net, did you get them?  You may want to do a virus check of your hard drives.

Do you have any problems with the music that you rip from your CDs?

I got them all over but I have very tight security & bought most of them, some are CD's that I have & wanted on my iPod. I found my "old" CD. It is Roxio Easy CD Creator 5. But it says it makes my computer unstable & it needs a driver. I have looked & can't find it. I loved this program, it was so simple!!! unsure.gif

1. I guess the key question is what is the precise error that you are experiencing?
2. What other Gurus are trying to suggest you that if you have music files that are legit purchases from stores like iTunes or Napster etc, these music files are protected in nature due to DRM. What this means is they cannot be used in Music burning programs to convert to any format etc and require respective softwares from the source.
3. Try using the files only from Audio CD as source and see if that works fine.
