Hi

I'd like to create a DVD with one long movie on it.

I have a background image prepared, so all I need is a text link saying "Play" to play the movie, and another text link called "Scene Selection" which goes to a chapters page with standard thumbnails and links.

Is this possible in MyDVD? I seem only to be able to create thumbnail links to either movie files or pages.

I've tried using a custom thumbnail and making my own image, but that doesn't work well at all, the resolution is bad and it crops.

Thanks
Nick

Hi,
I too am a newbie. I hope you don’t mind if I come into this discussion. I am having problems setting up my menu and chapter links and buttons. The first screen has the movie title. I have marked the chapters and the thumbnails come up on the second screen of the background.
How do I get a button to play the entire movie and buttons to go to each chapter? I am using Serenity as my background. I am also having VideoWave quit working for no apparent reason. I just get a message saying it is not working and shut it down.
My HP system is a month old.
AMD Phenom X 4
Nvidia Gforce 9100 graphics card
8 GB Ram
640 GB Hard drive
Vista Home Premium 64 bit
Roxio 2009 Ultimate.

There are some Tips & Tricks for EMC 9 that covered that – Here

Look through them and give it try. Always good to have a disc or 2 of RW media around while you learn and experiment.

Also keep in mind how Commercial DVD’s work… MyDVD will author your discs to work the same way.

A post describing the Unlinked (play all) is here – Here, (thanks to Merv)

For Chapters… Think commercial DVD Movie.

Main Page is Play the Movie – Scenes – etc.

What if you make, Play the Movie = Unlinked button set to Play All

Scenes = your present Title button renamed ”Scenes” or ”Chapters”

Now it will look like something you rented at Blockbuster???
