Have a Dell Dimension 4600 with a TEAC DVD-RW DV-W58E disc drive.
Purchased Roxio Creator 2009 and have been burning CD's (music) with no problems.
First attempt at a DVD. Wanted to make a DVD slide show of wedding pictures with music.
Seemed to go well, added all the pictures and then selected music. The preview worked and it was great.
Went to burn a DVD and it shows "drive is empty". Put in a new blank disc and still shows "drive is empty".
Have tried both a DVD-RW disc and a DVD-R disc.
Tried checking the driver and it comes back I have the latest. Tried "uninstalling" the drive and rebooting
still the same problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Looking at the TEAC site for the DV-W58E drive, it looks like it only works with DVD+R or DVD+RW discs, not -R types. Get some of those and try it.
