I had Creator 2009 running under Windows 7 RC and decided to install Creator 2010.  The installation of Creator 2010 only succeeded in installing the HD audio drivers.  Nothing else was installed.  I found directions for a clean install of Creator 2010 (knowledgebase art. # 000207cr) and followed the directions.  The result was that I had no Creator 2009, no Creator 2010, and several other programs on my computer failed to start, including MS Office 2007.  Now I found that I was unable to reinstall Creator 2009 or 2010.  As a result, I have had to uninstall and reinstall 5 other programs.  I have cleaned my computer of all Roxio and Sonic programs.  Creator 2010 still does not do anything other than installing the audio drivers.  How do I get Creator 2010 to install without destroying everything else?

I don't think Creator install any audio 'drivers'.  There may be some video and audio codecs, but not drivers.  We'll need more info. What do you see while Creator installs?  Any errors? etc.  Your system info may help, too.

The installer should not mess with other applications.
I'm interested to see the installation logs for 2010.

Go to %APPDATA% in Explorer and grab the latest Roxio Log Files and email them to me.

I have hit on something rather simple that gave me a perfect install.  I created a new roxio folder in the Program File (x86) directory and copied the downloads there rather than the download folder where they had been run originally.  Creator 2010 installed without a hitch.  This may be an option that others could use for reinstalls.
