Drive not detected

Drive E DVD/cd-RW drive works fine to play cds and dvds.  Can burn from Itunes but Roxio  9 does not detect the drive.  Please help.
Thank you for any advice.

What version do you have EMC 9 or Roxio Creator 2009?

I have Easy Media Creator 9

Try what ogdens said first and if that doesn't fix the issue ...

If it came pre-installed, then it is probably an OEM version.  Go to the computer manufacture's web site for fixes.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
