I have been trying this whole weekend to burn my Slideshow Project from VideoWave to a DVD on MyDVD, but it only burns the main menu where my Title goes.  Why?  I have read every tutorial that Roxio has regarding burning and it still does not burn.  I thought this software was supposed to be easy as 1, 2, and 3.  I made a Slideshow on VideoWave and I'm perfectly happy the way it came out, but now I can't burn it to DVD.  Please help.  Here is what I did:    I finish my project and selected Output, and clicked on sent to MyDVD, then it defaults on DVD Project and I hit OK, it brings up a window where you suppose to enter a title (which I did) and another box with production. (Which I cut) and I hit the burn button.  And I get this menu with different options:  I check burn to disc.  Then select the drive where to burn to which is my D drive. Then it says Disc Label.  Which I was not sure what that meant so I typed my project title again.  And then checked image file and so on.  I really wanted to do this for myself by reading and it just has not worked.  Please I would appreciate it so very much if someone could help me by telling me what I have been doing wrong.  I really want to learn.  I love like this software and I really having fun making beautiful slideshow, but I need to learn how to burn.  So if some one out could tell me how.  Please Help, I'm really new at this, I don't do well by reading manuals.  I read almost every tutorial, but they don't really give you enough information, plus the fact that I'm not a technical type of person. though I wish was were.  Would apprecicate a quick reply, being that I want to send this slideshow to my grandniece in memory of her Mom by sept 27th.

Thanks

I don't understand what you mean by "another box with production. (Which I cut) " unsure.gif

An excellent description on creating DVDs is found in this post

Good Evening, What I meant is that when I Want to burn my project from VideoWave, I went to output on top menu and select "send to MyDVD (I also tried burn with MyDVD Express) and a screen comes up where it says:  YOU’RE TITLE HERE and under that it says: PRODUCTION.  First I go into add new movie and I find my file from VideoWave and add, and than I Type my title.  When I add my project.  I noticed that underneath the title that I typed it says my slideshow file name and that is what I select and cut.  Maybe I'm supposed to leave that. But then it looks like I have two titles.  I'm new at this so I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do.  Anyway today I kept playing with it (I refused to give up on this) and I finally burn it to DVD on MyDVD express, but when I watch it on my TV it played beautiful for only the first few pictures and then it just showed the transitions and no more pictures.  That is strange?  Do you know why?  I've been reading a lot of the tips on this forum and I think I'll get it sooner or later.  I really do like this forum; it has a lot more help than the manual that came with the Creator 2009 software.  I hate to sound stupid, but I really do refuse to give.  First thing I do everyday when I get home from work is go into this forum and see what questions I need answered.  There is a lot of good help in this forum, thanks to people like you and many others.  Thank you for your reply.  Hope you could help me resolve this issue of burning to DVD.  I’ll keep trying on my own and look foward to help from you and anyone else who could help me with this issue.

Appreicate the help!

IrisRose

I am glad you don't give up that easy! It will be worth the frustration in the end.

Until you get comfortable using the software and burning DVDs, I would suggest you get a couple of rewritable DVDs that way you can use the same DVD over again if it doesn't work. You keep from creating a stack of coasters rolleyes.gif That assumes that your burner is able to write to RW DVDs.

Now to your situation. When you create your project in Videowave make sure you save the project using the "Save As" or "Save" command from the File menu. Now there are 2 ways to get your VW production into myDVD. One way is to use "Send to myDVD". What happens here is that myDVD will open with the main menu page showing "Your Title Here" and underneath "Production". This "Production" is actually your VW project which has been automatically loaded into myDVD. Click on "Production" and the text should become highlighted and you can change it to what you want. The "Your Title Here" can changed to anything or even deleted. There is no need to use "add" at this point as your slideshow has been added. The only time you would use "Add" at this point is if you wanted to add another video or slideshow as a 2nd title.

Now the second way to add your VW project is by saving the project in Videowave as a dmsm file and then exit Videowave. Then launch myDVD and here you can then use the "Add" task to add your VW project file. This is actually what you did when you used "Add" and got the 2nd title on the menu page.
You can now hit the Preview button to see if everything works.

BTW, don't use myDVD Express to burn your DVD projects. Many posters have reported just the problems you have when they used it.
Initially I would only work on a small project with a few photos and simple transitions and effects. Don't try to do your whole project as your first project.

Hello, thank you for the info.  I haven't tried it yet, been working a lot of overtime, so I haven't been able to work on any projects.  I wanted to thank you also for the advise on purchasing the RW DVD,  I already got that advise from one of your reply’s to someone else and I went out and brought a pack. (Great idea).  Will let you know the outcome of my burning my slideshow to DVD by following your advice as soon as I get a change.

Thanks, Irisrose
