Using VHS to DVD for Mac to watch video on Mac

Is it possible to use the video input provided by the VHS to DVD hardware to watch videos on the Mac screen? I mean, in fullscreen, not on the tiny thumbnail you can watch in the VHS to DVD program.

I'm pretty sure there is no way to do that. You need to first capture the video and then watch it. The EyeTV device can do it.
