I have DVDit HD Pro ver.6.4.  It installed and works great on Vista 32 bit.  I tried to install it on a new system with Vista 64 bit.  It starts the installation routine, but almost immediately stops and won't continue installation.  Any suggestions?  Is DVDit compatible with Vista 64?

Just noticed all the views and no answers.
Yes, it works very well with Vista 64, I have, however, only tried the Avid versions of it. a couple of them in fact, and all has worked well with V64, version 6,3 didn´t work well.

The Avid version is called AvidDVD.
The poster actually specified DVDitProHD 6.4

I do not think there are any differences between the two. Except for the splash screen and that AvidDVD has "a hook" from MC.

But it is a bit rash to state "Yes, it works very well with Vista 64" as you have never actually tested DVDitProHD with Vista 64.

Something like, "I have only tested Vista 64 and AvidDVD together. They work. I cannot be 100% sure, but I guess that DVDitProHD will also work" would have been more correct Tomas.

Just trying to help!  smile.gif

Tomas, although you are not a native speaker of english, you do a reasonable job.

However you do not seem to understand the subtle meaning on my previous post.

I was commenting on what YOU said!

You SAID that it will work.......... without even having tried it for yourself.

I merely said that DVDitProHD and AvidDVD were probably the same programme  which is true whether I use XP, Windows 2000 Vista, Windows 7 or Brown Bread!!!!

Om du inte förstår vad jag skriver det är bättre at inte kommer med repliker som inte är riktigt relevant.
Jag vill bara poängtera att trotts at du sa "Yes it works very well with Vista" du hade inte provade det i verkligheten.
Jag faktiskt försokt att hjälpa till med språket.
Ett, "Tack" hade varit mer lämpligt istället för det svar du gav!

mvh,

Looking at the last 2 posts in this thread CLICK HERE!
I would say that it does not seem to work VERY WELL with V64.

The post in that thread is discussing another aspect of DVDitProHD (namely 50GB discs) but it seems to contradict the other statement about working very well.

Whether I am using VISTA 32 or VISTA 64 or, as Tomas points out neither of those, does not change the facts contained in the post

I have only used it with SD projects on Vista 64. Everything seems fine to me. It's been running for about two months and 6 - 7 projects.
