Just got roxio

Hi, I just got roxio creator premier sd 10.2 and I am trying to get my home video that is on DVD+r onto my computer so I can edit and make a nice movie.

Can someone PLEASE help me, I have been clicking buttons for hours with no success.

Don't think Roxio -- Think -Windows file transfer or how do you put you files onto a back up drive or how do you copy a files from one hard drive to another.

Make sure the disc is finalized in your camcorder.  Put the disk in one of your drives.  Windows will see it as a DVD.   Explore it using Windows.  Use windows to copy the files (all) to a new folder on your hard drive.    To this point you don't use Roxio !

Once the files are in the folder, open VideoWave so you can edit the files there.

The other, longer,  less satisfactory way is to use Media Import to capture the disc while it is playing.

Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
