In the past with the MSI install of Roxio 6 you could choose custom instead of typical install and choose the features you wanted to install. I don't see that option anymore in Creator 2009. I've searched knowledge base to no avail. Is there a setup.ini file that I can create, or is there anyway to do a custom install of Creator 2009. You can't just use the MSI because it comes up with "use setup.exe", and I don't want to install all the extra parts of Creator 2009. All I need is Creator Classic, the rest is wasted space for me. I had to buy this because Roxio 6 wouldn't burn DL-DVD's.  Thanks in advance for anyone's help.

No this is not for a corp deployment. Just for an XP SP3 machine that already has .net3.5 and all the updates for that version of .net. Yet Roxio in it's installation says it's installing .net3.5.

Well as Walt mentioned, it is not an option.

I appreciate the answers but I find it hard to believe that a program (looks like it was built with InstallShield) has no setup.ini that can be run with this and custom commands inside it. I've already tried recompiling some of the MSI files and disabling features, but that doesn't work I get " have to use setup.exe" or errors because I don't have all the necessary files in the build locations for the recompile. I have a support ticket with Roxio, and they sent me the user's manual (lol)... Do any of Roxio's tech support ever read this forum ?

Thanks again...

Well I doubt TS will be able to provide you with any such customization directions. My guess is such customizations are more offered in a Enterprise deployment builds and hence my query to you about it smile.gif

Not frequently especially for a 2 year old product.  You have your answer.  I'm not sure they have a different answer even with paid support.   Now if you were doing a corporate deployment, .....

Why do you need Creator Classic?  Oh, by the way the current Creator Classic is not the same as the old one.  Video burning was taken out and put into another application.  I think this started with EMC 9.

Have you gone into Windows Add or Remove programs and see if there is a repair or uninstall which will allow you to modify what was installed after the fact?  With hard drive space so cheap why is it a problem to have the rest of the program installed?
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
