Is there any way to preserve the closed captioning on my VHS home recorded tapes when transferring them to DVD using VHS2DVD?

Roxio doesn’t do closed caption well…
Honestly I have no idea how it is done on a VHS tape!
If it is visible during capture, it would be captured… However, you would need to capture from the TV which generates the CC picture and not the VCR.
It is rare to find a TV with output.
