Not sure if this info will help - but I have discoved that Roxio 2009 is placing an empty item in MSCONFIG Startup HKLM\software\microsoft\windows\Run No Startup Item Name or command infomation. This does not seem right.

Will 2010 fix these issue?

I have carefully folowed your instuctions and still have the same problems only difference being none of the files below existed

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Roxio
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sonic
C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Roxio
C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Sonic
C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Local Settings\Application Data\RoxioCentralFX

Also there was no user called
