Purchased the upgrade Roxio Creator 2010 PRO from the 2009 SE. Got the download version VERY NICE!!! The only thing I miss from the CD/DVD box is that when you install....there is NO way to do a custom. Was not too crazy about Roxio BURN...so I disabled it. I never do packet writing...only multisession...etc. Next step..Blue Ray...

Looks like Roxio put some serious time into this Suite. I have lots of experimenting to do...

Custom install was dropped some time back (starting in 2009 if memory serves). There are parts that link to other parts so it's a complete install I'm afaid

But one thing puzzles me - there is NO packet writing software in the suite - the tray icon is not Drag to Disc (admittedly I disable it too but it's just a shortcut to the recording end and not any form of packet writing
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

As Daithi noted, Roxio Burn is not packet writing, like the old Drag-to-Disc that was dropped after EMC 9.

It's designed to be more of a desktop 'gadget' or 'widget' type interface. It has pretty much all of the same functionality that the Data Disc thru the Home interface does. It does multi-session, erases RW discs, you can change the disc label, etc..

I happen to like it as a quick way to burn a data disc, add to a data disc, or erase a disc without the extra bloat of the Home interface.
