Pays to read the instructions Creator Pro 2010 installation, Vista

After suffering through many of the installation issues for Creator Pro 2010 described in other posts (eg, interrupts when it hit the USB video install/roll-back), I finally paid attention to the "preparing for installation" page. Once I turned off my anti-virus (from Norton 360) AND followed the instructions to turn off background processes (disabling via msconfig) installation ran perfectly.

In the past, I've never had issues installing Roxio products, so I barged ahead without doing the preps -- call it a pretty simple mistake that led to a lot of frustration and wasted time.

This was for installation on a Windows Vista Home Premium machine (completely up to date for Vista and all drivers), installing from disc.

Thanks for posting that. A few minutes to prepare your computer certainly does save time in the lonng run. Here is a link to the instructions referred to in the post.
