"You can import analog video to your hard disk by “capturing” it directly from your VHS, 8mm, Hi8, or Beta tape sources. This requires a third-party analog capture device installed on your computer."
Does anyone have any suggestion as to what kind of analog capture device I should use which is compatible with Easy CD and DVD Creator 6? Do any of them work? And where do I but the right one? PS - I live in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.

I don't know what kind of computer system you have but I would recommend getting something like this to do what you want.
You can also do a google search on "video capture device"

Actually the software in that package is about 100 times better than anything you have in V6! assumes your PC meets the minimum specs…
You could install both, as the V2D has very minimal Audio capability and NO Data capability - It can create a stunning DVD Movie but it can not copy a disc

Why don't you list your system specs similar to what I have in my signature. In fact its a good idea to create a signature with that info then it will always be available.

Well here is what I have. See below. It says the locale is "united States" but I'm in Canada. Not sure why. Does this help? Thanks so much for your help myguggi. I'm trying to see whether or not I should buy the Roxio VEasy VHS to DVD package and whether it will fit with my Roxio Version 6 . Do these specs help me make my decision? ps as you can guess, I'm no computer tech.

I suggest you make your purchase from the Roxio Store so you can return it in 30 days is things don’t work out… Most retail stores will not do that!
While this Post is based on Creator 2009, you can get an idea of how to use it. – you really won’t ever go back to V6 for Video once you learn the V2D software!

Thanks Jim for your help. We have ordered the V2D software so I am looking forward to trying it out. If I have glitches I will consult this forum again in the future.
