If you are burning a DVD you must be using myDVD. Videowave is for creating the project such as adding video clips, photos, audio, transitions.
If you want to burn more then one DVD of the same project, use myDVD to burn to a Video_TS folder or iso image file. Then you use Video COpy & COnvert to burn the folder or iso file the DVD. In this way the video is only rendered once

Did you have "burn to disc" (or similar) unchecked when you tried to create the iso file?
Another test: using Videowave, Output to a mpeg2, best quality file. This should tell you is there is some problem with your project.
Have you done a defrag of your hard drive lately? How much free space on your hard drive?

I have 69% of a 104gb hd. I have defragged within the last month
Yes I had burn to disc un checked. This is a compilation dvd of 26 seperate videos. As I stated before, the first two discs burned fine, I went back in to correct some spelling errors on the menus and have not been able to burn a disc since. I have created several new projects thinking something was wrong with the original project and I am getting the error everytime I burn anything in creative 2009. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Creator 2009 twice.
I cannot open the project in video wave. It is a .dmsd file.

I did find out something else. I noticed on some other forum pages about entering the msconfig and enableing roxio services. Ther are four roxio item under services that say "Stopped" there is a check mark in the box, but it still says stopped. I have tried check or unchecking the box and restarting the computer but it alwasy comes back as "Stopped" even though there is a check in the box. It seems to me that maybe those should be runnig??? but I dont know how to get them to run.

You need:
Roxio UPnP Renderer 11
Roxio Upnp Server 11
RoxMediaDB11
Checked in msconfig, but Stopped is OK. They will be running when needed.

I don't expect it to open in Videowave. MyDVD is the right application to handle dmsd file.

One more piece of information. I am able to copy a dvd from my internal writer drive to my external writer drive so the drives themselves seem to be working. I am sure this is a software thing. I have Web root anti virus runnig. Could that be an issue? What i dont understand is how I was able to burn two disks of this project then suddenly I cant burn any project. HMMMMM?

Yet another clue. I just created a new project, much smaller than the project I have been working on. I got a different error message. This time when I treid to burn it it gave the following message:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error
Program:.....Creator 2009 special Edition\videoui 11\videowave11.exe
R6025
-pure virtual funtion call
Yikes!

Then bring that mpeg into a new MyDVD Project (use defaults) and see if it will work.
IF it fails try a new MyDVD Project (defaults) and add one still picture.

It is always graeyed out until you load a clip or picture into the Project.
Waht about the second test I suggested???
While we are at it, you mentioned uninstalling/reinstalling. Have you been using the Roxio Clean Install proceedure or just winging it?

Turn off your anti-virus software. Yes, it could be the problem.

Thank you. Good idea, but same result.
Turned off he web root software and tried to burn project and got same videowave11 error.
Wish me luck, I am going to try the complete uninstall and clean reinstall. I have printed out the instructions and it looks pretty straight forward.

YaHOOO
It is 11PM Friday night. I started this yesterday morning at 10:30AM.
I did complete uninstall and clean reinstall.
I was afraid to use my old project so I created another new one exactly the same. I was able to creat a complete iso file. then I was able to burn that iso file to a dvd. It is running on my tv right now.
Thanks for all the help.
Especially Jim.
You were great. You gave me so much attention. I felt like I was the only person you were working with. I know you must have many of these every day, but you made mine important, at least it seemed that way to me. Please pass this on to your supervisor. Great customer service, great technical support. Thank you thank you thank you.
