I know there are times a clean install is required to fix a problem. However it calls for removing all roxio programs. I have both Easy VHS2DVD and roxio creator 2010 pro. To fix a problem with vhs2dvd I do not want to uninstall creator 2010 pro. So how could I do a reinstall of vhs2dvd without touching creator 2010 pro? dry.gif

If you have C2010 Pro and the USB capture device then you don't need VHS2DVD since this is only the "video" part of C2010. You should be able to capture just fine using C2010 and the capture device.

That sounds like the answer since it did seem to work better in c2010. thanks

You can’t Clean Install one program…

Pick – either you don’t get a full uninstall to prevent lose of both and the likelihood that it won’t work

Or you uninstall all and reinstall both.

Stop posting a new topic for the same question…

Use Add/Remove just like you would for any other program.

I installed VHS2DVD after I had previously installed C2010 Pro. That worked O.K. and both programs seemed to work. HOWEVER, IMPO, you will not be able to uninstall VHS2DVD successfully. I tried several times with no luck. There seems to be files that either one is looking for when you try and uninstall, and it can't find them. I ended up doing a complete format. Then installed C2010 Pro back on by itself. As already suggested, if you have C2010 Pro and the USB capture device, you don't need VHS2DVD at all. so if someone else has some step by step directions as to how to uninstall VHS2DVD when C2010 Pro is also installed, I would sure like to hear them dry.gif It's a real mess !!
