I just installed Roxio Creator 2010. When I startup MS Media Player the Roxio decoder pack and other install screens repeatedly keep popping up. It cannot find a network resource, etc etc. Eventually, it cannot find CPDP.msi I can't find this file either.
How do I get this to stop and/or solve it?
Thanks
Phil

Good question!
I have one install (XP) that does the same, takes about 6 cancels before Media Player runs…
I am going to do an uninstall and reinstall this weekend. (can’t Clean Install as I have 3 versions of Roxio on that PC)

It sounds like the Xp decoder pack on your system is broken. Since you already have Creator 2010, you can safely remove the entry for CP decoder pack using Windows Install Cleanup utility from here

I believe the standalone CP decoder pack version is 2.xx. Alternatively, if the system did not have Xp decoder pack and if the broken component is from Creator 2010, you can try extracting installer files for Creator 2010 or on the Installation disc and pointing it to the folder \CPDECODERPACK_432
