:) Success on burning a audio cd project:

After trying everything else. I looked over my notes from Roxio support again. The term "firmware" came up again. On Nov. 8th with a suuport person from roxio we checked to see if I had the most current version. At that time I did. I went back to the drive manufactureres site and they had a new realse on Nov. 12th. I downloaded it and "wella" it works.

I was able to finish my audio cd projects. OUSTANDING.
The firmware version is "1.11" My dvd burner is an aopen DUW1608/Arr.

So I finally have that fixed.

Now I am going to attempt my DVD burning problem.
That problem is the amount of time to burn a dvd. I burned an "image" of this project to my HD. This process
(4025 MB) took 9.5 hours.9 too long I think"
I have checked the burn speed as somebody suggested and the default is "max".

So thanks to everybody that has helped. I will update everybody after I have finished the actual burning process.

Good news bad news.

The good news is after burning the image to the hd. it only took 10 minutes to burn to dvd.
The bad news is my stand alone dvd player will not recognize the disc.
The production plays beautiful on my PC.
I'm getting very discouraged. It is a great production and I want to share it with friends that dont have a PC.

Very odd, I've found that more discs play on my Samsung player after I burn using the ISO method. A few things I've found that's even more odd when using my Samsung. When my discs don't play, the first thing I do is put in my disc cleaner. The one I use actually has 2 little bristles on it to clean the drive. Usually, right after the cleaning, it works. Sometimes it works if I put in a 'real' dvd first, then my dvd.
Some questions: what brand of disc is it? I didn't go back to the oroginal thread but did you give us your computer specs? Based on your email, 9 hours does seem excessive.
