The following codec must be activated mpeg-2 not working

can anyone help me with this... when I try to start create dvd -advanced I get this message....The following codec(s) must be activated before using this application: MPEG-2 When I click to activate, it doesn't work.

How about telling us what software program from which Roxio suite you are using? It looks like it might be EMC 9 but then that is just a guess. Till you tell us, nobdy can help very much. What does "it doesn't work mean"? Any error message?

1. Disconnect the system for the internet temporarily.
2. Fire up the program again and wait for offline activation information
3. connect the system to internet and go to http://activation.roxio.com/activateme/
4. Follow the screen to obtain activation code
5. Disconnect the system from internet and activate the mpeg2 codec with the code.
