I have a video that I have converted to mpg as well as the original .m2ts format from my sony HDG-TG5 high def camera. THe mpg file plays fine in the windows 11.0 media player. sound sounds sounds great just like when I play the video directly from my camera. but when I use the roxio mydvd tool and play the video there it sounds terrible WAY over driven( the backgound sounds are way too loud. How do I manipulate the sound track. I know this is stupid and Im a computer person ouch. nothing seems to effect it and the help files are useless.

Don't know if this will work but add the file to Edit Video-Advanced (VideoWave). Switch to timeline mode. Click on show hidden tracks and put a check mark next to Native audio. Click OK. Use the speaker icon to reduce the volume. Hopefully, you can get the volume reduced and get rid of the overdriven parts.

I assume that you looked at the operating system's audio output mode to make sure that isn't turned all the way up.

This issue has also come up previously when audio drivers were out of date, and it did not affect the final output to DVD. So, try updating your audio drivers for your system, and/or go ahead and output and write to DVD and see how that sounds. There's a fair chance it'll be fine.

Hope that helps!
