I'm transferring some home VHS video to DVD and then trying to make some copies.
I'm playing the video into a Panasonic DMR E50 that records to DVD-R. On completion I finalize the disk. I can then play the dvd back on the recorder and on my PC without problems.
I'm using Roxio Creator Business v10 on my laptop. I use copy disk and it happily copies the contents of the disk and then asks me to put in a blank DVD. I've tried DVD-R (Sony) and DVD+R(TDK) but they just get ejected with the request for a blank disk!
I've tried copying the DVD to a .gi image and burning the image but I get the same result. If I put the ejected disk back in and look at disk information it reports it as blank.
If I try making data dvd'd then the files copy and burn ok.
Any suggestions as to what the problem might be or where to start looking?
Regards
David

You posted in Creator 2009 which is not the software you have… What you have is customized OEM version and all support for that software comes from the OEM provider, not here. None of us have ever seen it!
You might want to see about a firmware update for your Burner.

I've tried this with various version of Roxio software and on different hardware platforms and it happens on all of them. It just happens that the above version was on the laptop I was posting from.
I found finding the right section to post in confusing so I just went for 'Burnning Issues'

Not even a remote possibility it is software related!
Take us through it step by step in detail so we can find out what is really going on
