Had great success wit my last questions so.... here are two more.

I have a HD Sony HDR-TG5  ( great camera by the way) just lousy software.  It outputs 1080p in m2ts format.  Great right.   So I want to input this into Creator and use My DVD to edit this, delete pieces shorten mod the sound etc etc.  Then output DVD quality discs for friends and BlueRay for myself ( since I have a player yay).  The problem is that when you are going to create a new job it asks what your output format is going to be up front DVD,VCD,AVCHD etc.   I assume this is because it is doing the conversion up front so that for people working with DVD format can work faster.  My problem is that I do all this work to create the DVD's but then will ahve to repeat this exactly to get the Blueray disc.  There must be a work around for this issue as Im sur im not the first with this issue.     If I set Project setting to same as original  will that allow me to output blue ray???

What am I missing??

Secound question has to do with pictures.  I used my picture for the title/chapter page backgound.  on my computer  and when looking at it within mydvd program it looks fine but once I burn it to DVD and play the dvd on my computer the picture looks washed out too bright with the highlights.  What am I doing wrong and does this also have something to do with the conversions?? by the way I have the DVD setting set to 16:9, NTSC,  fit to disc, interlaced.

Thanks so much this really helps me ( acutally keeping me up way too late doing new things with the video lol)

New feature in Creator 2010 now allows us to do this easily.  Go to the FILE menu and select CHANGE PROJECT TO...

By the way, you should be EDITING in Videowave.  Although you can do some editing in MyDVD (edit movie feature), it is still not recommended.

Change Project to ..... Excellent!!!!

I had thought that myDVD's editing button called the Videowave application, I will use the way you suggest from now on.  On that line is there away of getting the video being displayed in Videowave to be less jerky?  I have a fast card and pretty fast computer, dvds seem to run just fine.  Is this fixable??

It does, but in C2009 it was a limited version.  I haven't been able to check out this in C2010 fully to see if there were any missing features.  Personally, I just find it illogical to start with creating a DVD menu first.  I might spend weeks or even a month or more editing a video before I even think about what the menu should look like. smile.gif    If Roxio was to ever fully integrate the two applications, I probably wouldn't use it any more.

As for the jerky motion, is it on the final DVD?  That's what really counts in the end.  What do you consider a 'fast computer'?  With Hidef video, I wouldn't recommend anything slower than 2Ghz Dual Core with at least 4GB and even that might seem slow.
