Hi,
Just loaded up  a copy of Creater 2010.

Can someone tell where in the User Guide, it tells how to transfer a movie from VHS to DVD?
or perhaps write down the steps for me.

    Thanks - Harb9

First you need a way to convert the analog VHS tape to digital video.  Do you have some sort of video capture device?  There are also a few user made tutorials that are excellent.  Also open the Home app and on the left bottom, Click on the Learning Center.

Plan B would be to use a DVD Player/Recorder, if you have one, and connect your VCR to that and record.

Then the disc from the Recorder can be used as a digital Source in your PC.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Why do I need a separate Video Capture Device?  Doesn't the VHS plugs that come with the 2010 kit, plug into the VHS and then the USB output of the plug goes directly into my PC which contains the output disk.

Same answer. Why do I need a DVD Player/Recorder?

You will need to explain exactly what you purchased.  VHS Plugs?

That is most likely the Roxio USB capture device and its not called "VHS plugs" rolleyes.gif

There is a separate forum for using that device call VHS2DVD. There is a lot of information there on setup and usage.

Got it working, I have two sets of outputs on the back of my VHS and of course, I had the lines plugged into the wrong set.

  Thanks for your help
