I have Creator 2010. In previous editions, when applying custom pan and zoom to my slideshow images, I was able to start the zoom tightly cropped on, say, the subject's face and hold it as many seconds as needed before setting another key frame to start zooming out to the entire picture. This was an extremely important feature for the flow of the slideshow.
However, In Creator 2010, it's almost impossible to do, even in the "Advanced" setting option. The moment you start setting another key frame, the cropping square starts to zoom out and you have to reposition it exactly in the same spot it was before and exactly the same size, in order to pause the movement on the subjects face. It never turns out right -- instead of a rock-solid pause on the subject's face, it drifts or enlarges or shrink the area, as the images moves to the next cropping key frame. If you had coordinates to enter, to match the previous cropping position and area, it would be ok, but that option doesn't seem available.
If there's something I'm missing, please let me know. You'll have to provide step by step instructions, cause I've tried everything and can't figure it out. I really need this function that used to exist in previous versions -- it's frustrating to think that it's no longer available in a supposed upgrade! There used to be a "manual" setting, but no more!

The feature you are talking about has not been availble for at least the last 4 versions, in fact I think the last time it was available was in EMC 7/75. Its something I have complained about but the for some reason the Roxio developers in their "wisdom" have decided to go backwards and drop that option.

There is a way to do it almost as good as in the earlier versions. It consists of making two marker point as close to each other as possible and then moving the earlier one. Perhaps you can get an idea from this video from an earlier version.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

Thank you very much for your reply -- this is the best workaround I can find. It will slow things down a lot, but at least it will work. I cannot for the life of me understand why they deleted this option! i guess they feel "ease of use' is more important than features. But it's a false choice. Such an important function should have been included, in an advanced setting. Grrrr... Anyway, thanks again. i really appreciate it.

You are welcome and I agree about ease of use overriding features.
