Hi,
I created a DVD using MyDVD. Its my first DVD using this Roxio Creator 2010 and MyDVD. I took videos of my child playing softball. Its basically 22 video mpg clips. I imported the "movies" as separate "movies". This is just so that I can view it before I create the final product with edited schenes. So I created a MyDVD project with several screens, each having 5 clips. So far so go.

When I play the DVD in my Pioneer Elite DVD player, it plays fine until I try to click over to the 3rd screen, at which point the DVD player says "searching". It basically hangs and can never get to the 3rd page. It works fine in preview mode however in MyDVD.

Any ideas? Is there a limit on the number of "movies" you can have in a particular project? Is this possibly a known software bug?

Thanks in advance,
Steve

Just a brief update. I burned another DVD. This time I used a DVD-RW. I don't know what else I changed, but it works great now on the DVD player. How could this be? Why would this be a problem on a DVD-R but not on a DVD-RW?

Thanks again,
Steve

Does the DVD-R play on your computer system? If yes then there was nothing wrong with the burn and the problem is between the DVD media you are using and your DVD player. What make of DVDs are you using?

The DVD-R is SONY media. I get the same "bad" result on a Sony DVD player as on the Pioneer player.
The DVD plays fine for the first 10 "movies", but can't get to the next screen. Same result when I play the DVD using Roxio Cineplayer.

What menu style are you using? Did you create the menu yourself or did you let myDVD create the menu pages?
