What are you using to transfer the video from the camcorder to your PC?
Doesn't Windows Explorer see the camcorder as just another drive and you simply copy the video to your hard drive?

The camcorder has miniUSB port. Use that to connect to your system and you should just be able to copy the video file to the PC using Windows Explorer. The file that you want has the file structure SDV_####.MP4 .

Have you tried the software that comes with the camcorder (at least the manual says it does)?
According to the manual you should pick which memory location you're using in the camera.
Once you do that and plug in the cable Windows should see the device and pop up the box asking what you want to do.
If this box doesn't pop up then the camera is not communicating properly with Windows.
If that's happening then Roxio won't see it either.
