I have purchased Roxio products since the beginning. They had really good features such as (if your making a video movie) film strips, fire works etc etc . The BEST software was actually Roxio 7.5. Roxio 7 & under were good too, owed by Roxio. 7.5 was the most stable software. Then Sonic took over (also ever stable) Ever since then Sonic keeps deleting all the good stuff. I have all the software since, including the waste of time 2009, I have just purchased 2010 Pro and it again, deletes things that the previous software had. Transitions hopeless!!! Delete all the good stuff and keep the average stuff. Sonic is slowly destroying this software and I wil be moving to Adode, does not matter how much it cost.

Some programs get dumbed down to appeal to the masses.
Please don't compare a $80 (or less piece of software) with one that costs about the same (Elements) but has only video editing options (no music, etc.) or one that costs several times more. I also like 7/7.5 because that is what I started with but, except for EMC 8, all have been better and had more features.
BTW, there are about 245 transitions in Creator 2010; many can be run forward and backward and can be color changed. Film strip is one of them but fireworks went away a long time ago. There are also about 100 video effects and 37 overlays (you can also make your own).
If you don't have all the transitions, then there was a problem with the installation of the program. Do you have the transitions, video effects and overlays?

Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
