Windows XP, SP3.

Previously I had Roxio Easy Creator 7.5 (with Drag to Disc).  I started to get "D:\ is not accessible.  Invalid Function" errors.  I saw 7.5 was "legacy", so I uninstalled 7.5 and upgraded to Creator 2010 today.

Now I no longer have Drag to Disc, and instead have Roxio Burn.  Previously, when I insert a blank CD-R, I was able to "format" and label the disc.  I was then able to copy files from my C:\ to the D:\.  Once I hit eject on the CD, it would ask me if I wanted to close the disc so it could be read by other machines.  That is the option I would choose (so other machines could read the disc).  Now when I eject the disc, I am not prompted.

How can I get the same functionality I had previously?

Thanks,
-Rich

Creator 2010 doesn't have a packet writing application.

Packet writing is known to be unreliable by many.  I know VISTA has a built in packet writing application but I am not sure about XP sp3 since I rarely use XP.

Rich, if you want Drag-to-Disc [packet writing] you'll probably need to go back to your Easy Media Creator 7.5 which was a wonderful software suite.

Packet writing brought too many problems with reliability and compatibility, and should really not be relied on by anyone who doesn't know all the risks involved, or who isn't prepared to freeze his system forever at his present level of software/hardware/operating system.
If you modernize anything it's too easy to find you can no longer read your old packet-written discs, even if they haven't failed.

Regards,
Brendon
