I have checked several posts regarding unable to load XVID AVI files into vidiowave. I only have the basic codecs installed and the latest XVID codec installed. Windows media player plays the avi file perfectly so I think I have the correct codec. Anyone have any other suggestions.

Are you getting a red circle with an X in it when you try to import? If so, maybe Prefup will work for you. If not, uninstall the xvid codec and go to and reinstall it. Stay away from codec packs as they can actually cause more trouble then help.
