when bringing qt video clips into videowave the clip will play the first 20 or thirty seconds of video, but then the video freezes but the audio continues to the end of the clip; these clips are just over 1 minute in length.
i have made sure that quick time is up to date.
i've installed the sp for roxio
i've tested the graphics acc card, and switched between software and hardware acceleration, all with no change in operation.
the clips will play completely in Quick Time.
any ideas?
Videowave - video stops, audio continues

It really sounds like they are corrupt… Even though the QT Player works, it is not an Editor and indicates very little.
Try something else – use Video Copy & Convert and use it to convert one into some other file format, like mpeg2.
Likewise another one is Drag & Drop Convert (SyncIt!). Try that one too.

Thank you for the suggestions - i tried both packages and converted the file to several different formats and still no luck.
real player and quick time both will play the movie just fine, but i can not bring it into any function in Roxio and play the entire movie clip.
it's only 1 minute 9 seconds. not sure it matters but it was taken with a nikon coolpix L11.
i even went back to the original still on the sd card, the results were the same.
you are likely correct that there is some type of corruption that the players can deal with. when i use the advanced video editor, i can rotate the little dial under the preview screen and bump the roxio editor past that spot and it will play the rest of the clip, so maybe i just have to somehow edit out that bad spot.
