I'm having a problem with the Drag-to-Disc that was installed with the Creater Basic program.
The DVD writer seems to write the files to the DVD correctly. The problem arises when I want to eject the newly burned DVD. When I choose to leave the session open, and before the DVD ejects, the computer will blue screen. At that point, the only option I have is to hard power the computer. I have tried different DVDs.
I am using a work computer. I believe this software was pre-installed for the DVD-RW, and I don't have access to any of the original media. There are no service packs to install for this software.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

You can’t have Creator 2009 because D2D was discontinued starting in EMC 10! (never been missed either!)
Vista has it built into the OS.
What other software do you have – and what version. There is no magic Fix It you wuold have to have the install disc.

Yes that is an OEM version of EMC 9… any and all support will come from the manufacture that supplied it but in reality, it won’t happen.
Packet Writing has proven to be the most unreliable form of burning ever devised. Windows has built in session writing – far more reliable.

Best of luck - OEMs unfortunately are notorious for buck-passing

I did some research over at my PC manufacturer's website, and I found a patch addressing the very problem I have been having. Here is the link in case someone else may need it. I have an HP Compaq dv5750 Small Form Factor.
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechS...nvOID=2097#7831
My main goal was to research and see if there was an update or patch for the Drag-to-Disc program. I am only using the DVD-RW writer to backup up my work files. If I continue to have problems with the D2D program, I will utilize the other software installed in the suite. Not a big problem. I didn't realize the CD/DVD Packet Writing Technology was unreliable. (Very little experience with CD/DVD burning.) I also didn't realize the software on my computer was considered OEM software as such, so that's why I consulted Roxio.com first.
Thank you again, Jim_Hardin, for the help. Your time is much appreciated.

Personally I'd transfer anything important you have on UDF formatted discs to standard CD/DVD before they go belly up and you lose what you have
Use 'normal' -R or +R instead of -RW (they're not expensive and a lot safer)
RW is fine if the files are temporary - but not for long term storage
