I am trying to learn the VideoWave module of Roxio 2010.

While in Time-line I clicked in the last segment and the mouse pointer turned to a line with arrows pointing both directions. The program scrolled to the end of the video and the mouse no longer activated any prompts.

Neither a keyboard Escape nor a right click had any affect.

Ctr-Alt-Tab and closing the Roxio main program module freed the mouse.

I don't seem to have lost the work.

Who would have guessed?

Is this a one-time occurance, or can you repeat it at will?

No it is the Runaway Cursor problem that I reported a long, long time ago…

If your clip exceeds the programs window in Timeline and you drag the Scrubber past the end of the program window, the cursor changes to a double arrowhead and takes off until the end of the clip is reached.

I just reproduced it on 2 different PCs. In this screencap, if I slide the scrubber past the left end of the program and release the mouse button, it will continue with VW inaccessible until the end of clip is reached!

Found this little bug while doing a 3 hour clip! I showered and shaved while waiting for it get done

It isn’t going to get fixed, started in EMC 10, best bet is know about it and don’t do it!

Thanks for the reply. It is nice to know the problem isn't on this side of the keyboard. I didn't have to wait quite as long as you did.
