Receive Error Code:000D when trying to install Roxio Creator 2010 on Windows Vista System that meets system requirements. System is Dell Inspiron 530.

I registered software with Roxio, which they acknowledged with the CD Key received with disk purchased. I then downloaded Creator 2010 software update from Roxio (a large file!), and attempted to install from downloaded file. Same Error Code; 000D result. Have reported to Roxio Support.

Does anyone have suggestions? Goggle reports several instances of same or similar experience.

Thanks, Eldon Bailey

If you are trying to install using installation discs, then try copying the content of installation to a folder on a desktop and then try to install using setup.exe

If you are trying to install from downloaded installation files, then use winrar or winzip or 7zip to extract the files into a folder and then try to install.

Not sure what updates you are referring to as there are no updates for Creator 2010.

Make sure you have installed Vista Service Pack 1, too. That is required and not optional.

Error Code 000D is indicative of invalid data. Either the file did not extract correctly or the file is corrupt. Manually extract the .exe and see if that helps.

Not quite as lame as posting to a year old defunct thread for your one and only post

The thread is referring to a corrupt download of Creator 2010 from the server - and the 'fix' is to get it again.

We can't help if the user's internet glitches during the file transfer

If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed
