I know how frustrating it is. I have had the same problem you set up a slide show and it will not burn to the DVD you just get the same error message and you keep wasting DVD's thinking the next one will work I think this program is a piece of JUNK. You just keep destroying DVD's trying to make it work. None of the help solved my issue.Then I was DUMB enough to think I could buy the upgrade 2010 and it might work and I could not even get it downloaded so that was not only frustrating but also a waste of money and I wasted 3 days trying to make it work. The funeral is today that I was TRYING to make the DVD for so it is to late. I guess when or if I want to make another one I will go with a new company.

Now if you are done with your rant, perhaps you would like to provide details on the issues that you are seeing for someone to help. It is likely that issue lies in hardware so switching a different software may not really help.

What software are you talking about? You are posting in the EMC 10 forum but state you bought Creator 2010.
Are you having trouble installing the software or are you having trouble downloading the software from Roxio.

Until you solve your problem get some RW disc's.
